Yuichi Hayashi Trio
Yuichi Hayashi (Piano, Composition) / Hiroyuki Demiya (Bass) / Hiro Kimura (Drums)
A piano trio of poetic melodies and cool rhythmic drive — emotionally stirring, beautifully transparent.
Formed in 2019 by pianist and composer Yuichi Hayashi, the trio features Hiroyuki Demiya on bass and Hiro Kimura on drums. Their music blends the lyrical clarity and transparency reminiscent of Scandinavian jazz with sharp rhythmic interplay and a modern sensibility.
With a sound that moves fluidly between stillness and motion, the trio creates a unique and emotionally resonant musical landscape.
In 2023, they released their long-awaited debut album Song for Tomorrow, comprised entirely of original compositions.
Since then, the trio has continued to evolve through nationwide tours, solo concerts in concert halls, and appearances at jazz festivals.
