Led by pianist and composer Yuichi Hayashi, the trio explores an original musical language rooted in transparency, lyricism, and a sensibility inspired by Nordic jazz. Balancing stillness and intensity, introspection and release, the ensemble creates a distinctive sound world shaped by close musical interaction and a refined sense of space.

Formed in 2019 and based in Japan, the trio released its debut album, Song for Tomorrow, in 2023.

The trio represents the next chapter in Hayashi’s artistic journey, building on the legacy of his former group, TRISPACE. The former ensemble toured Italy (Rome and Puglia), recorded at Sweden’s Nilento Studio, renowned for its Nordic jazz recordings, and was featured by the Italian jazz publication Jazz Convention.

With bassist Hiroyuki Demiya and drummer Hiro Kimura, the trio has developed a distinctive collective voice, bringing depth, subtlety, and emotional resonance to Hayashi’s original compositions. Their music reflects a uniquely Japanese sense of space while embracing the transparency and lyricism of the Nordic jazz tradition.
